Customized Pest Control Solutions
A wooded acre and a slab-foundation subdivision home need different work. In Roswell we quote after walking the property rather than from a price list, so what gets applied follows what the inspection actually finds.

Most treatments are one visit plus a check. If anything is still active when we come back to your Roswell property, we treat it again - that return visit is part of the job, not a second call-out.
Call Us NowMost cockroach work in Roswell is smokybrown rather than German, and the reason is the older housing. A mill-era house stands on stone or brick piers with open air beneath the floor, so there is no closed crawlspace to seal, no continuous foundation line to treat around, and nothing separating the underside of the floor from the leaf litter, the stacked wood and the damp shade of a bluff-side garden. Smokybrown cockroaches live outdoors in exactly that material and come up through floor penetrations rather than in through a door.
That changes what honest treatment looks like. On a sealed modern house the aim can reasonably be a perimeter that holds. Here the perimeter is open by construction, so the work is harbourage first – litter, stored timber and dense planting cleared back from under and around the floor – then treatment of the penetrations and voids they use to get up into the house. Anyone promising to seal a pier foundation is describing a job that would change the building rather than treat the problem.
| What | When it comes up here | What you notice first |
|---|---|---|
| German cockroach | Indoors year round, breeding continuously | Small, in kitchens and bathrooms, seen near appliances and warmth |
| Smokybrown cockroach | May through October, living outdoors and entering | Large, seen singly, usually near a door, a drain or a crawlspace |
| Leaf litter and stored wood under an open floor | Year round, heaviest late summer | Large roaches indoors in the evening with no kitchen source |
| Floor and pipe penetrations above open piers | Year round | Sightings on the ground floor rather than in the kitchen |
| Shaded bluff-side planting against the house | Warm months | Numbers rising after rain rather than after food is left out |
Most of our work in Roswell is residential, and treatment is scheduled around your family rather than around us. Residential pest control
Commercial work is scheduled around your trading hours and documented after every visit, which is what an inspector or auditor asks for. Commercial pest control
German cockroach is an indoor animal and its activity does not follow the weather outdoors.
Smokybrown and American activity builds from May and peaks in the humidity of July and August.
Autumn cooling drives outdoor species indoors, which is when most first sightings are reported.
An indoor population survives winter comfortably, so a problem left over the cold months does not resolve itself.
Smokybrowns are not living on your kitchen. They live outdoors in damp litter and come in through the floor, which is why housekeeping makes far less difference here than it would with German cockroaches.
Not without altering the building, and on an open pier foundation there is nothing to seal to. The work is clearing what they live in and treating the routes up.
That is the pattern for this species. Rain drives them out of saturated litter and the nearest dry shelter is the underside of your floor.

FAQ
Usually not. German cockroaches live indoors and breed in kitchens and bathrooms; smokybrown cockroaches live outdoors in damp litter and come inside from underneath. They are different sizes, they behave differently and they need different treatment, so identifying which you have is the first step rather than a formality.
It makes it different. There is no enclosed crawlspace to hold a population, but there is also no barrier between the ground and the underside of your floor, so the work goes into what is lying under and around the house rather than into sealing a perimeter that does not exist.
Roswell sits in Fulton County, but structural pest control licensing in Georgia is administered at state level by the Georgia Department of Agriculture rather than by the county. County environmental health handles public health reporting locally.
Reducing what they live in. Leaf litter raked back from under the floor, firewood stacked off the ground and away from the house, and dense planting cut back from the foundation line all reduce the population outside before anything is treated inside.
Roswell sits in north Fulton County on the Chattahoochee, and it is both one of Georgia’s largest cities and one of its oldest. It grew around the cotton mill on Vickery Creek in the 1840s, and the historic district, Bulloch Hall and the mill ruins are all still standing. Most of the rest of the city was built between the 1960s and the 1990s, on ground that falls steadily towards the river.
For pest control, age and terrain are what matter. Nineteenth-century construction puts timber within reach of carpenter ants and termites in ways modern building does not, and the bluffs and the national recreation area along them give mosquitoes and rodents a permanent reservoir on land that cannot be treated.
